This World IP Day, Honour Creativity Around the Globe

This World IP Day, we want to start by taking a look back. Think of all the memories kids have with their favourite characters – whether it’s you when you were little or your children now. And that’s just the beginning. IP continues to dazzle audiences of all ages whether it’s in a movie theatre, at home, or in public.

And because of that importance, we feel that creators deserve to be properly compensated. Not only to help pay for their existing work, but to continue to encourage creativity and innovation to create new worlds or expand the ones audiences already love. That’s a big part of what our blanket licence does.

Without our annual blanket licence, organisations that show film and TV content in public open themselves up to costly copyright lawsuits and ignore paying these creators for their work. But by paying for our blanket licence, our customers not only ensure that they’re legally covered to show tens of thousands of titles from global studios, but they also help pay these important creators as well.

Whether their customers or employees are enjoying content in a break room, lobby, waiting area, on the treadmill, or in lots of other public spaces, they’ll be contributing to fair payment to the people who help make the characters and worlds that audiences around the world love.

This World IP Day, be sure to celebrate the content you love while supporting the creators who made it.
