MPLC is announcing today that Mark Brownlie is joining to lead the finance function as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.
MPLC’s finance team plays a critical role ensuring that individual rights holders and movie studios are paid correctly from the licence fees collected for them by MPLC. As the company has grown, collecting more licence revenue from more businesses, the finance team has also grown. We are investing heavily in new technology to ensure MPLC is able to meet and exceed the expectations of our partners. Mark’s addition to the team will ensure that the MPLC finance function is able to reduce complexity and handle ever increasing volumes as the company grows.
Rory Shedden, MPLC CEO; said “The CFO role is a critical one for a business going through the change and growth that we are. I’m delighted that Mark is joining us on our journey. He has over 15 years of experience within high growth, international environments driving strategic financial planning and he is perfectly positioned to help MPLC grow and deliver the benefits of technology for all of our stakeholders.“
Mark Brownlie said “I am truly excited to be joining Rory and his team at this really exciting time for MPLC. I have been involved in many businesses in my career but I don’t think any have as much potential as I can see we have here. The fact that our licence helps fund and resource the next generation of movies and entertainment shows that bring so much joy to millions is inspiring!”.
Mark joins the MPLC group executive team immediately following a career in manufacturing, telecoms, financial services, media and software industries.
